Chris guarantees that you will enjoy your pet's portrait. She works with you to insure that your portrayed pet has the characteristics and personality traits that you love and enjoy. You are under no obligation to accept the painting if it does not meet your expectations.

Procedure and Prices
Portrait Commissions
During the initial communication by telephone or email, you and Chris will discuss your pet's characteristics and personality. An appointment for a meeting and photography session at Chris' studio or your home will be made. During the one-hour photo session and meeting, Chris will take many photographs of various poses finding the right lighting, angle and action that show your pet's best qualities. At this time your stories and descriptions of your pet are important to help formulate the traits that will be portrayed. Chris then studies the photo images and develops a charcoal composition sketch and a small color sketch. These sketches are provided to you by email. When you and Chris are satisfied with the sketches, she will proceed to develop the finished painting on museum quality paper or canvas. You will enjoy the creative process and the finished portrait of your pet.

Prices for a pastel pet portrait begin at $650 for the 8" x 10" size. An oil portrait begins at $750. An 8" x 10" charcoal portrait is $400. The price then goes up according to size, number of pets and detail in background. Please contact us for specific prices.

All travel, lodging and shipping are extra.
Framing is also the client's responsibility.

Purchase a Water Scene or Flowers
