Expressing Life through Art
Chris Powell is always thrilled to discover what one can do with art materials and an idea. Either capturing the personality and characteristics in a portrait, depicting the power or serenity of water, her paintings express the strength, sensitivity, and excitement of life.

As a graduate of the Schuler School of Fine Art, a participant in various workshops and conferences and an art instructor for thirty-nine years, Chris is always striving for excellence and diversity in technique, expression, and content. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Maryland Pastel Society in which she has served as President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, and Juror for Signature Member status. American Women Artists awarded her the honor of being an Associate of Distinction.

Although she has won many awards, the best award is clients' excitement when admiring their own original painting by Chris Powell.
